Ford C-Max
Ford C-Max
You might think the C-Max crossover looks a bit too van-like for American tastes. But sales of the similar-shaped Mazda5 have been picking up here. (Ford owns a controlling interest in Mazda, and many Ford vehicles share engineering with Mazda cars.) Americans seem to be catching on to the mini-minivan idea.

The 5-seat C-Max promises more driving fun and better fuel economy than a minivan or crossover SUV. Something like this could fill in the space of the departed Focus wagon, which Ford may now regret killing off.

Although some media reports have said the C-Max will come to North America, Ford hasn't announced anything.
